Matters & workflows
The matter is the unit of work everything hangs off — documents, reviews, findings, deadlines, and audit — and workflows turn a repeatable review into one click.
A matter is LexCore's organising unit — a case register for litigators or a contract register for transactional and in-house teams, depending on your tenant type. Documents, reviews, findings, obligations, and the audit trail all hang off a matter, and everything is scoped to your tenant and matter (see Security architecture).
- Register — each matter carries its counterparty, jurisdiction, team roles (lead, partner, reviewer), documents, and status.
- One home for the work — a review, its citation-anchored findings, its redline, and any tracked obligations all live under the matter that produced them.
Workflows
A workflow is a repeatable pipeline you assemble from steps — review, redline, compare — and run against a document or matter, with a configurable number of debate rounds. A "Standard Review" workflow is seeded automatically so there's something to run on day one.
Note
Workflows make a house style repeatable: the same steps, the same playbook, the same review depth every time — which is what makes the output consistent and auditable across a team.

The core workflow: verified, prioritised findings with citations, a clause heatmap, and visual risk maps.
Playbooks
Encode your firm's positions — gold-standard, tiered fallbacks, and guidance — so every review is judged against your standards.
Obligations & key-date tracking
The post-signature layer: renewal, expiry, milestone, and notice dates pulled from executed contracts so a deadline never slips.
