Legal research is the single most common legal-AI use case, and the one where hallucination does the most damage. LexCore's research surface is built on an authority store and a strict discipline.
- Every answer is grounded in retrieved Nigerian authority; every asserted citation is routed through an authority verifier, so no fabricated case or statute survives.
- Currency is surfaced — superseded law is flagged rather than quoted as current.
- Coverage is disclosed honestly: a question outside the corpus returns an explicit "not in coverage" instead of a confident guess.
Coverage is growing
Nigerian authority coverage is expanding from an open spine (NigeriaLII, Supreme Court, Laws.Africa) toward licensed feeds. The platform is explicit in-product about what it can and cannot verify.
Optional open-web search
A private, self-hosted web search can be enabled for leads. Results are quarantined as context only — they never pass the citation/authority gates and are kept separate from verified answers. It is off unless configured, and a sovereign tenant must explicitly opt in.
